season opener

we played our first game of the season last night. it was a home game, so it was nice to play a familiar place. we won by 5 points. we lead at the half and for most of the game but it was a close game the whole night. the past 2 years our team has lost the first 4 games of the season... the coaches were very pleased with the win. but...there are still some small things that everyone needs to work on, but so far its not looking so bad.

adjustment to euro bball:

during practices and games i feel like I'm a freshie in college again.. so much to learn! the style of play here is different. almost everything that you have learned over the past 4 years doesn't mean much. i have responsibility but not the kind that i had in college, when so much was depended on me. i have mixed feeling about that.. i love the pressure but i also hate it at times when i feel like i had a brick weighing down  my shoulders. hopefully i figure this basketball out, but if i don't master it... well i know that i tried, and got the experience out it... and hopefully some great spanish friends! oh and my family and friends will get a nice vacation out of it :)
